Need IWB holster for M&P 9c (compact)

It's definitely an IWB holster, not OWB. I wouldn't be able to carry using it if it were OWB. Here is a pic with it using my Beretta 92 M9A1 Compact ...

....

Well sonofagun, I stand corrected! :o

The photo you provided looks much clearer than the one on their web page. Unique method of attaching to the belt, I've never seen that type before. It must be stable our you'd have mentioned it, but it looks like it would be less stable than some of the other clips I've seen. I'll take another look at this one.....thanks for the clarification.

For my double stacks in strong side IWB I prefer the two belt connections from either an all leather holster or a hybrid style because of the extra stability that connection offers. I also like concealed OWB when the clothing I am wearing allows for it.

I do use a single clip all kydex IWB holster even with something the size of a double stack 45 (30S) and choose it for times when I know moisture from weather or excessive sweating will happen. Since kydex is impervious to moisture and no drying time is needed it does not swell like can happen with a leather holster. It's very handy when I know I'll need to take the holster off and on while I am away from the house because it is so much easier to do than the dual connection holsters are.

Find with the single clip kydex holster it tends to need an occasional adjustment since it "walks" on the belt line a bit with body movement. I have used them all day and just a few hours and overall find that for me the all kydex IWB holsters are not as comfortable as the all leather or hybrid holsters, but they are still a very viable mode of carry and I use them often, especially in the warmer months.

It's good to have options as far as holsters go.

You're surely right on the options! I think I must have about 10 "carry" handguns in the safe, and probably have at least 20 holster rattling around in there!

I have only one "pure" Kydex (not hybrid) IWB, single clip holster that I got for my new diminutive Glock 42. This one from Roth. I got it for IWB carry on my motorcycle tours. I needed something compact that didn't interfere with me getting on and off the motorbike, and that concealed well. I like this little Roth Kydex holster a lot. I have some minor issues with the bare Kydex next to my skin, to which I think I'll adjust, and I agree totally with your comments about Kydex' ability to not absorb sweat, etc. Roth also makes the two clip Kydex hybrid and will make a single clip Kydex hybrid on request. I'm strongly considering one of his hybrid's for the M&P 9c that I have on order. I just need to decide if I want a two clip or a one clip model.....I'm leaning toward the latter right now.

I really like Theis Holsters for IWB hybrid (molded kydex with leather backer). He offers single and double clip models that are very comfortable.

For all kydex holsters I like RCS, Crown, and Bravo. Crown is the most affordable of the three and is still very high quality. These make great do it all holsters if you buy IWB clips and OWB belt loops...assuming you are willing to take the time to swap out IWB and OWB belt clips/loops.

If I could only have one holster it would be one of the all kydex holsters for their versatility; however, it is called the holster drawer for a reason.... ;)

I have an M&P 40c. My IWB holster is a Galco KingTuk leather/Kydex hybrid, which I wear in the 4:30 position. It broke in very quickly, and it is comfortable enough that I can forget it is there. I have never noticed any rubbing from the grip, but then I always wear an undershirt. It has two tight belt clips and it holds my 40c very securely. As its name implies, you can tuck in your shirt between the clips and the Kydex if you wish, but it's a tight fit. The clips are black, so you'll need a black belt to keep a low profile if you decide to tuck.

IWB for schield

I found a Safariland holster on line. It has several numbers( 32, 14, 27-179) so I don't know which is the model number. Instead of the usual metal clip that I find very hard to get off, this holster has a J shaped clip that works better than any IWB I ever tried.

Clinger holsters iwb single clip for my XD. Love it.
