I need a good, heavy-duty 1-1/4" wide dress belt suitable for carrying a pistol. The leathersmith I got my last one from has retired. He made them double thickness and they were strong enough to not stretch after many years of wear.

I know Milt Sparks makes a pretty good belt and I don't mind spending the $95 he asks. But does anyone have positive experience with other makers of quality gun belts?

Thanks in advance for your input.

I rather like the Ross Gun Leather belts Brownells has. You do have to get 'em 2-4 inches larger than you actual waist size, depending upon how much stuff you're gonna hang on the belt.

Ken Null does great work.

Try Lobogunleather on this site..he made me one for my 686 4" and it works great. Ray has been there ....done that so he knows how to build one. Check out his website. There is another post on this thread about Ray...a few down from here.

another vote for The Beltman. Quality products, fair price, great customer service.

You do NOT need a "gunbelt" to properly carry a gun. Coach and Trafalger make "dress" belts that are more than sufficient for just about any sidearm, and they don't make the wearer look like a cop...unless the wearer is also sporting Corfam shoes.

Be safe.

PS:

There are Coach outlets just about everywhere.

Sip, How you going to tell if it fits the slots.....unless you buy the belt first???? Just a thought! Bob
