Need stock pin dimentions

hey all,

I was replacing the stocks on my 686 no dash PPC gun and realized the new Davis grips require the stock pin be installed.

It looks like a simple roll pin. Does anyone happen to know the dimensions of the pin?

You can call S&W for a free one or order from Brownells, Midway or vendors if you need it sooner.

Or if you don't feel like leaving the house...... just use the proper size Number Drill and cut to fit (shank portion). They are inexpensive enough sacrifice one. If you do decide to use a roll pin, they are available at any well stocked Hardware store. measure the hole with a Caliper and you should be able to find a proper fitting one.

Got a model 10 with roll pin with stocks off and a set of calipers right here. .0118. Was probably slightly larger before being tapped in hole.
