Need suggestions for good OWB holster

I have a Lobo Enhanced Pancake for a revolver and love it.

I also have one of their SL1 Pancakes for my Shield and love the holster and the easy way it comes on and off when needed.

When Lobo retired I purchased a OWB holster from R. Grizzle Leather for a Glock 43 and it is super nice and pulls in against the body tightly. It was one of their snap on/off models (sorry the model escapes me now) and while it is a little pricier then Lobo models it is an excellent holster.

Sad thing is you will get different opinions from most people you ask.

Look at Garrett Industries STX 2.0 Its made in a pancake design so I holds tight to the body . Has handgun tension adjustment and cant " angle " adjustment . Kydex with a glove leather lining .

Leather holster check out Nelson Holsters in Lenior NC. Very good product from a one man operation .

Welcome to Nelson Holsters

The Garrett Industries holsters are awesome. I have three of them. Great customer service too.

for my FS .40 and my shield.
I have IWB all picked out , would like to try an OWB as well.

For my M&P40 FS Detroit Police Dept. trade-in I use a Galco Concealable:

For my Shields I use either a Lobo Leather Pancake holster, a DeSantis Mini Belt Slide, or a Detroit Concealment Custom Kydex holster. I originally purchased the DeSantis for my M&P 9C, but discovered that the Shield fits perfectly simply by tightening the retention screw a little more:

I like my BlackHawk Serpa for my SD9VE (it also fits my M&P 22 LR FS) , the gun stays put solidly until you need it. No problem running (not me anymore ) , falling down (That is more like me) , it stays put

Agree on the Galco "Concealable Belt Holster". Pricey, but is one of my 2 favorite holsters out of the dozen or so I've tried. Contours nicely around the hip/waist for a smaller sized guy (5'8" 155#) and the molding to fit the gun is all on the outside piece of leather. So you do not feel like you are trying to "pull the gun profile" into your side to get the gun to ride nice and tight.

For production holsters I like Galco, but prefer custom leather if possible. Here're are some examples from Warbird Leather. Top left photo is a Galco Combat Master and the other three are from Paul at Warbird Leather.

If you need a holster ASAP I can second the Galco Combat Master. If you don't mind a wait for custom work, Rob's Gun Leather is an excellent choice for a high ride pancake holster that will hug you waist. Rob does excellent work.

I like the Desantis holsters also. I have them for my Shield and G43. Pancake is the way to go for OWB carry.

Wright Leather looks interesting.
I came a cross a company that makes leather holsters that claims theirs are built with some kind of "off angle" that pulls them in closer to your body, that looked really interesting but I didn't bookmark the page. Now for the life of me I can't find it. Anyone have any idea what company I'm talking about?

Unfortunately, Galco doesn't currently offer the Concealable holster for the Shield.
