:) I don't have any thing that goes on this thread
but would be interested in what's out there. Might
be something else to spend money on. Don't tell

You and me both! :)

There's something mighty fine about a good boot knife. Mine get tucked into my AF issued black combat boots... I don't wear my new green ABU boots around.

S&W had a line of American made knives, that were of good quality in the 70s and perhaps through the 80s, I forget the cut off. If you keep an eye on Ebay, they sometimes turn up and get overlooked amidst the PRC ones. You sometimes find the brochures for them in old revolver boxes, since cross promotion goes back some years.

The current S&W branded knives are made up by Taylor Cutlery who has vendors in China build them. Quality is usually mediocre.

The current boot knives are around 20 bucks or less. Though without the logo and in a crappier sheath, the exact same knife can be had for as little as five dollars. The tips break off if you stab anything hard with them.

I'd love to own an AMERICAN made Smith & Wesson folder. How do you tell the USA made ones feom the imports? I looked at one of the S.W.A.T. folders before and didn't see "China" or "Taiwan" on it anywhere. But then again, I didn't see "Made in USA" on it anywhere either.

How do you tell?

Zippo makes several different lighters with the S&W logo. Also have a stainless steel watch, made in Japan. It has Smith & Wesson on the dial and the S&W logo engraved into the back. I have had the watch for about 5 years and it keeps perfect time.

the boot knife and 625 both are about 20 years old, the 60 and the folder are only about a year old...

need to see what's out there

I have several S&W belt buckles, a S&W .44 mag Trailer hitch cover, steering wheel cover, seat cover, lapel pin, and money clip.
I think that's all.

I have a Zippo with the S&W logo commemorating the first DA revolver 1880 in its original tin box and cardboard sleeve. It was given to me about 12 yrs ago.

There is a abundance of S&W logo'd stuff out there.
I haven't added much in the last few years but have accumulated:
27 Die casts
21 Tie tacs
38 Belt buckles
8 sets of handcuffs
19 Coffee mugs and glassware
159 Knives
plus clocks, neon sign, holsters, pool cue, cards, pens, watches, ammo and catalogs.

1970's Blackie Collins designed series of knives.

Now that's what I'm talking about....

KO,
Very nice stash....!
Thanks for posting the pics.

The accoutrement area is a fun aspect of S&W collecting.

ko41, thanks for posting those pics. I've got one of those Sportsman series knives that I totally forgot about. Still brand new in the box. Mine is like your middle one on the right hand side. Seems like I bought it in the middle 80s.
