Never getting another dog..

I feel your loss. Lost my Vizsla (Missy) two years ago the 15th
of this month. Still grieving.... I'll be celebrating my 87th in two months. Too old and would outlive another Vizsla. They can suffer from a broken heart and a loss too. So, Missy was my last but her paw prints are still on my heart.

There are plenty of old dogs that need a home too..

Just wanted to thank everyone for their kind words on this thread. There are too many responses to thank everyone who read and posted. Especially thanks to those who had nice things to say about my "crew". I told my wife we did at least three things right in our lives.

Some members had asked about Dakota "not meeting expectations" in her owner return questionnaire's. I pretty much decoded this as they were not ready for a dog, simple as that. Lots of excuses about the Dakota's behavior, no time for the dog, does not get along with kids and other dogs etc..Seriously? A 70lb 1 year old is a lot of work!

But anyway, thanks again..

The misses says no more dogs. Soon after my yellow lab is going crazy and the bear is on the front porch looking in the picture window. We will get another dog maybe two.. my problem is I want another hottie and she wants,,another lab.

That great looking crew is good for years to come.
Interesting times for sure when they all start to reach full size!

I like all dogs but really like the big ones. Most large breeds are great with kids and really seem to thrive with them. My last two boys were big. A Briard at 85 and a Giant Schnauzer at 100. Both were very protective of children even though they weren't raised around them.

That dog is gonna be happy with all that goin's on.

I wonder why she was a problem adopting out to a forever home? Hopefully just the wrong family.
