Never out of style

Back 40+ years ago right after I graduated high school I went to Montgomery Wards with my brand spanking new credit card and bought this Hill&Archer leather flight jacket for $250. Which is about $1000 these days. I definitely got my money's worth out of it. Several years ago after the world map liner started shredding I decided to have it relined and the insulation removed. Here in SE Texas it rarely got cold enough to need that much warmth. It still fits, although it is much tighter around the waist than it was in 1982.

Still have and wear my 1982/83 leather Bomber Jacket...... looked for a new one a couple years back without luck!

Out of curiosity this morning I went looking for my jacket online. I found a few selling as used, some of which still had the original lining and were in good shape for $40-$60. If mine was not so well worn in and comfy I might have been tempted.:D

So how many of you seasoned citizen fashionistas walk around looking like this?

Even my Dad didn't dress like that..................but I notice a lot of my contemporizes do; when they swore, they never would dress like their fathers!

Wrangler's T-shirts and cover garment hiking shoes or boots no socks in summer, otherwise over the calf gray ........... pretty much like I did in college and law school! 1971-78.

Hair still "longer" but gray not red! :)
