Never say never.... Bought me a Harley

Bought it new last year. 2015 Street Glide Special. Dealer added the chrome wheels, chrome front end and the Stage 1 performance.

You'll next own anything but another Harley.

If I want speed I have the husqvarnas sitting in the garage. I been on the fence about a new 1250cc Suzuki bandit. I love speed it's like being with a wild woman. My last 1200 bandit was so smooth and fast it should be illegal. After sone retuning she could hang with the rockets. What matters if you want old school tradition or state of the art technology. The bandit is as smooth at 100mph as it is at 150mph.

I like the old bicycle h-d antiques. I'll never own a Harley. I can't push them.

I had a husqvarna....worked good...until I realized how much better a Stihl worked........

there are 2 kinds of motorcyclist....those that ride Harleys...and those who know better.
That one really needed to be fixed.
Fortunately there are American options available now: Indian and Victory. They have some nice models and the quality seems to be good.

Well, I like the color and the finish on the engine.
Harley, Indian, Victory...I don't see any option there. They're pretty good bikes now, I'm just not a V twin guy. I need a big transverse four, chain driven. Without my feet under my butt, or out like a recliner, so they are scarce, these days. I'll keep my old Suzukis.

I like many cylinders, too. Preferably four or more. All my current bikes have four cylinders and one has six. I love the smooth effortless power they make.

I read a lot and have been infected with twin fever many times, but it passes the moment I go on a test ride. Twins feel very rough and underengineered. I am not saying they are, that is just my perception. Then I go back to Japanese multi cylinder bikes where I feel the soul of the engineers riding with me.

yes I did mean Andrew....and just by its very configuration a V-twin is going to be rougher than a 4 or 6 cyl.......and Byron Hines has the reputation to build off any platform he chooses.....after all him and Terry Vance started with Suzukis

OP checking back in...

OP here, thanks for all of the kind comments and support. As far as the never ending branding wars, well some things never change. LMAO!

Been on a couple of great rides as I get acquainted with my new bike. Fortunately living here in Arizona winter doesn't pose too much of a challenge. We leave late enough for the black ice to be gone and layer up. Lots of great roads just out my back door and between my two riding buddy neighbors and the local bike club I have unlimited opportunities to "Get my motor runnin!

I have owned a total of 5 Harley's, two currently. I won't say I won't own anything else, but the competition is gonna have to style something that catches my eye.
