Hey guys,

This looks like a great forum, with lots of information. I just picked up my 15-22 and I cannot wait to shoot it! Anyways I'm looking for a decent quality reflex or holo sight. Probably looking to spend under 200 for one. Any recommendations?

Thanks alot,

Ryan

I have a NcStar holo sight that I really like. It is a 4 reticle X1. Iboight it from Planet Optics. It was $42 to my door. Their part number is NC-RD-D4B. I haveonly used it inside so far, assume it will work well outside as it has 6 lighting levels. I highly recommend this and will buy agin for my other rifles

I've heard some of the cheaper optics may move a little causing the aim to be off...has anyone experienced this?

There's a couple other threads about this. Seems the cheaper ones don't hold zero very well if you change the reticle type - of course, the solution is pick the one you like and leave it there.

I have heard the same thing, though my NcStar holds zero well. Additionally most of the holo sights allow you to co-witness, using the iron sights too! I can sight right thru my NcStar holo screen.
Another optics source is Primary Arms.com

I use the TruGlo MRDC. It's a great 15/22 sight that cowitnesses with irons, needs no mount and is under $100.

My Bushmaster carbine has an EoTech 552. The TruGlo is close enough for practice.

I have a strong dislike for the open sights like the EOtech as dust and dirt on the glass degrades the sight picture.

I use the issue M68 COO on my M4 carbine and I found a $70 Aimpoint clone that works well on the M&P 15-22.

Both carbines have "cowitnessed" irons and dot.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the help. I ended up going with the Sightmark reflex for 25 bucks! It got decent reviews and for $25 I might as well give it a try. I'll provide a review of it once I receive it.

I have a SightMark holosight. You got a better deal, I paid $40. It has worked very well. The dot is very small 1-2 MOA and seems to hold zero just fine.
