I got tired of waiting and purchased a RRA.. I really wanted one of 15-22 pistols. Blast at the range and still cheap to shoot.

Why so late to the game? I want one of these! I already have a 15-22 but have always wanted a pistol. This would be so much fun with a suppressor on the end. And a great training alternative.

I had a Colt AR22. I guess my expectations were a little high, I sold it and bought a CMMG conversion kit for a spare AR.

I reaally, reaaaaallllllyyy, like the one I have. Don't think I will get another one tho. As a suppressor host, and many mags, it is just too fun.

I'm getting one. The kids will love it.

I'm looking forward to seeing how much weight they will remove from the bolt for a 7 inch barrel.

edit:
I'm not sure what they changed for the short barrel.

I hadn't actually heard of them until this afternoon when I was on the phone with one of my distributors. He had some in stock. I pulled up a pic and decided to order 6 of them for the gun shop.

I can't seem to transfer one under $600.

No sights.

Looks like pricing is about $100 above a 'base' model 15-22... which is about what the SB3A brace costs.

IMHO, that's not unreasonable if you want one of these, especially compared to building and SBRing a standard rifle.

Ordered one this morning from SOS, $499. The average listed price for the on-line stores is $549 and as high as $699. Looking forward to giving this new toy some range time!

What's SOS?

Looks like Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore?

I ordered one as well... paid a bit more, but I've had good experiences there in the past and they already had my FFL info associated with my account.

Time is hopefully on our side. I predict in under 10 yrs the price will be as it should be. No way I'd go above 400.00 for a chopped M&P 15-22.

Being a dealer and knowing what they actually cost I will tell you to look for a used one. Right now the dealer cost is more than you price limit. Once things return to some normalcy Smith may re-institute their package pricing which will allow the price to go a bit lower when they are purchased in quantity but who knows when that will happen again.

From video I saw; it appears they are using the same bolt that is in the older pistol. Material removed from top on an angle and some removed from bottom.

There is a picture of it somewhere on the forum, just can't find it.
