Bought the new 1854 Hunter model in 44 Mag with a16" barrel. After installing a Timney trigger and a green dot it is wonderful and a lot of fun to shoot. A really nice, short woods rifle.

Nice pickup. How necessary is the Timney Trigger? I have one in .357 and am contemplating the Timney while my gun is apart for this paint job in the near future. Just need to decide if I want to include the receiver or not. Couple examples from chat gpt.
