New 2.0 Compact 3.6”

I purchased a 2.0 compact with 3.6 inch barrel last year and it was in a plastic case. From what I have read S&W is all over the board with the plastic case vs. cardboard box.

just got my 3.6 sat. I have XXL hands and with the large grip insert, it fits perfectly. Love the grip extensions so I can use my 1.0 17 round mags.

Actually, the 1.0 Compact with the X-Grip is about 5.5" tall whereas the 2.0 Compacts are 5.0" tall. However, the 1.0 with the pinky extension (for the 12 round mag) is about 5.0" when measured from the front bottom end. I've included an image to show you what I mean.

Also, anyone who is thinking about buying the new 3.6" (or any other M&P, except for the Shield), Smith & Wesson is running a $50 Rebate program this Summer. Here are the details (I just bought another 3.6" and submitted my rebate form):

Smith and Wesson is offering a $50 rebate for M&P Purchases (excluding the Shield) made from June 29, 2018 through September 2, 2018.

Here's a link to the Promotion:

Enjoy!
S&W is offering a $40 rebate on ALL M&P pistols including Shields for active duty, retired and veterans untill September 1st

The 3.6 feels a little bit better in my hands. Not going to get rid of the 4" though. Just get both. :D

I liked the 4" better because that is the benchmark test for most self defense ammo. Short barrels ammo hollow points may not expand as well or penatrate

My LGS has one on the shelf for 399. Good price plus the military rebate...hmmm

I have a Sig X-Compact that is also 3.6 and sorta fits this role but when has that ever stopped us from buying more guns lol
