That model 69 does look sweet.
I wonder if all our grousing for a new 696 had any effect?

Did you get a price on this gun ? List is $1600 I saw two 9 mm rev.986 and M929 "Jerry Miculek Signature Model.
Not the actual retail price but I called my dealer and told them to place an order for 1 for me. Their normal pricing is a healthy bit under MSRP on everything so I'm not too worried about that silly number up on the top of the page.
I can't find the spec. on the two 9 mm rev. I was told that a .355 would be a better gun then a 357-9 mm. When i go tomorrow i will find out. You ordered the 460 ? NICE !!
I always wanted a 460 but the price of that ammo is nuts. I'm sure you reload. After what happen to me with my 357 rev. [blow up in my hand] not for me ....
Two piece barrels? I thought they gave up on those.

I give the factory credit for listening to their customers and bringing out new products.
Two pluses - the 66 and 69 in 4.25" barrels, so our Canadian friends can enjoy them, and the relocation of "Smith & Wesson" to the left side of the barrel. Seeing that on the right side bugs me, for no explainable reason. A possible minus - forcing cone issues on both the above; perhaps the two-piece barrel addressed this.
Sorry, but I cannot trust the IL. Otherwise I would try to get money to buy a new 66 or L frame 44...
If that bothers you; just remove it and plug it! Problem solved.
That is a real nice gun. I was on the comp. all day looking for that and the 9 mm rev. came across this- New Ruger GP100 Match Champion 4" Stainless. Found one in stock. I bought it.By the time the S&W new guns hit the shelves i will have the money.I think I might get the new PC 686 if it can be had for less than MSRP. I would sell a few thing for that. There was one troubling thing that I read somewhere that the Performance Center guns are coming off the production line, sort of like the pro series, and that had started in 2013. I would want to know more about that. Are they doing less hand fitting?
