Have you ever shot any of this ammo before? Just wandering, that's a lot of ammo if you find out you don't like it.

how new is it because it looks straight out of the 1980's. it also seems to have an odd shape, not sure how well it would fire.

It looks similar to the pics of CCI Tactical's I've seen....I think...it's late...hahaha.

FWIW -

Remington had a bullet of that shape in the 80's IIRC (Viper perhaps?)

The truncated shape made it hard to feed in some semi-autos - too much like a SWC. The nose would hit the feed ramp and kick the cartridge up @ a sharp angle, causing jamming. Even when it did feed, the nose would be flattened on one edge of its circumference from hitting the feed ramp of a model 60 Marlin.

Well i hope they work ill have 5000 of them on my door step soon lol
If they don't I have bolt actions that will shoot anything. (hint, hint)

So what do we mean by looks like 1980's?
How closely do we look at what we are shooting?

What do these look like and what are they?

Second from left is CCI Green Tag

The others are:

Eley Tenex Orange
Federal TP bulk pack "325"
CCI Mini Mag
Federal high speed
WW Super-X HV Hp "555"

Not necessarily in that order.

I just got back from dunn,s, I have been buying 22 ammo from them for a couple years know. I like the fed champion and the ae and blazers for plinking.

Just to confirm, are you sure that isn't 5,000 rounds from Dunn's for $159?

This is correct I bought 3 cases at 159 a case

actually reason im buying it from there is they had the exact ammo i wanted.. you see my belt fed 22 ar15 is very funny about which ammo it will run and the dark lead 50rd packed cci blazers are the ones my friend.. so i had to jump because no where around here even carries them much less stocks the ammount i buy at one time

What are they for? I wouldn't hunt with them. Plinking and target, they will be fine. You may have loading issues every now and then (2 or 3 out of 10) when using a semi-auto.
If your using a semi-auto like the M&P 15-22, I would use a CCI super sonic round. My order of favorites is;
#1- CCI Velocitor ( best hunting round ) 40 grain, 1250 fps
#2- CCI Stingers, 36 grain I think, and like 1650 fps
#3- CCI Mini-Mags, also36 grain I believe, and somewhere around 1450 fps.

I have taken Coyote and Fox from over 100 yards with the Velocitors.

I canceled that order after looking at the shape someone mentioned about feed issue i think im going to go with dunns also! I was surprised they were able to cancel the order for me thanks for saving me money yet again guys;)

I like the federal champion 510 myself from dunn's after you own it a while you will find your preference. The cci blazers and american eagle are also good. These are my cheap plinking ammo.
