Well, new to me anyhow. Been almost 9 years since I sold my only ever 4'' Model 29 and I'll never make that mistake again. :)

That is a beauty Brian, looks like the day it was made! Congrats on a sweet .44. Bob

Coldblue, I know exactly how you feel about selling off a 4" 29-2. A few years back I was bitten by the competition bug, and decided I just had to have a Les Baer Premier II, for USPSA and IDPA. The only way I could afford the Baer was to sell off one of my .44's. I sold off my 4" nickel 29-2, and have regretted it ever since. Don't get me wrong, the Baer is a superb gun,far more accurate than I am, and it has been totally reliable, which is vital for a competition gun. I just miss the beauty of the nickel finish and the balance of that 4" 29-2. If I ever get a couple of bucks together for a safe queen, it will be another nickel 4" 29-2.

That is gorgous. So many classic guns like that can't come into California so they can't be found. Everyone here is hanging on to them. I did see a 4" 29 at the gunshow but it was a -3. And I wouldn't get near one without recessed chambers. I really can't afford to be this snobbish but just look at your gun and you see my point.
Congradulations on finally getting another one. I did pick up this 29-2 last week. My first choice was a long nickel -2. Found one! Now I'm looking for one like yours.

4" 29-2's just speak to me. So do 3" N-frames. I don't think i'm alone.
Congratulations!

While the 29's have the power, if you want real fun, a 4" 25-5
is a real blast with the 45 colt. And you can load them pretty hot has
well as down also. Them big holes are fun.

I don't have a 4 inch n frame yet, closest is my 3.5 27-2. Those 29-2 always look nice. When they are in nickel they just call to me. Congrats on a nice smith.
