new 442 pro uses moon clips

Don't own one, but I got my hands on one at the range.
Clips load OK and unload especially well, all at once. Problem I see is that the loaded clips will bend if carried loose in a pocket like I do speedloaders. As I can testify from my 646, a bent clip does not load well.

Dang it. I've been semi-looking for a 442 lately to accompany my 642. Now you mention this Pro version cut for moon clips. I see no IL on S&Ws 360 degree view on their website, and Bud's Police has them in stock for $399.

My wallet is trying to hide from me right now so I can't reach the credit card........

442 Moon clips

You can safely carry moonclips in your pocket. All you need is the following:

Welcome to TK Custom.com & Moonclips.com

TK Custom makes the moonclips marketed by S&W. I have the 642 Pro without the lock and cut for moonclips. It shoots great. You can use with our without moonclips. It simply gives another option. But the moonclips load incredibly fast. This holder mentioned above is very effective, prevents bending.

If you order, get at least two. Hope this helps.

That's a great way to keep the clips from bending in your pocket. How long does it take you to draw one out of your pocket and pull the reload out of the device? I would imagine it would be extremely slow (and require two hands?).

Nope, all I do is haul out the moon clip/holder with my right hand, point it upward and allow the moonclip to slide into my hand, give the holder a toss and slam the moonclip into the cylinder (previously emptied by holding opened cylinder in left hand and vigorously hitting the ejector rod with left thumb).
