Been waiting for this one to come in from KY.

FFL called today and said come and get it. She's new in the box. I am surprised though that it is slightly bigger than my 4513 and won't fit the same holster.

Oh well, something for Santa Claus to bring.

Very under rated .45 autoloader IMHO! Mine carries great and is totally reliable with every load I have tried.

It will quickly become your favorite. Will eat anything you feed it, and will be like a timex watch - "takes a licking, and keeps on ticking".

Funny you should mention a candle. I didn't notice when I took the photo that the reflection of a candle in the room showed up on the bottom of the magazine.

I have owned a 457 for a year now. Shoots everything, every time. Shoot it for a while with the factory grips, then put on a set of Hogue rubber grips. It's like getting a brand new gun. I really like my 457 a lot.

Yet another pistol I let go. I had a "stocking dealers model" 457. It was two tone from the factory, black slide and anodized aluminum frame. As part of the promo, I also got a really nice waxed cotton field coat with a tastefully done S&W logo on it. Still got the coat, but the pistol is long gone.

I have a Sigma 9mm and my old standby, the 457. The 457 is 10 times better than the Sigma. The Sigma holds more rounds, but my 457 is shorter and easier to conceal carry. With a 45 caliber, who needs more rounds!

I got a used one a few months ago and love it. I've started carrying it in a Don Hume No.33 and a WRB IWB generic that fit my Sig P228. Great gun, it points naturally and eats like a goat.

I bought a 457 several years back when they first came out. I guess I'm a wimp, because it was, to me, a hard kicking gun. I traded it away. But enjoy yours. I still look at them and wonder if I had just given that 457 a bit more of a chance...
