I bought this a little over a month ago and have put 500+ rounds through it without issue. After my first trip to the range though I noticed this mark. I didn't see it during my initial cleaning before going to the range but it could have been there I suppose... next time, take pics of my new toy as soon as I get it home... live and learn.

Anyway, it doesn't seem like a crack in the frame, which is one of the QC issues I read about. My first thought was it's a tooling mark but I'm new to revolvers so when I hear talk about lead spitting I wonder if that could have caused it? If it matters, I've been feeding it 36 grain Federal copper plated hollow points. Hasn't gotten worse. Should I be concerned?

Looks like simply a rough tooling mark. If the gun works forget about it. It has no relation to lead spitting in any way.
