Does anyone have a 3” 66 with combats or rb targets on it? For the new year I bought a 3” 66-4 with what I believe are oem UM grips. Just looking for something more classic. I’m just looking for some pics for comparison. Both of these options are a big investment and I don’t want to just dive in head first.
I don’t have anything with combats, K or N, and too many with magnas and Tyler’s, kind of looking for something different and sexier. I’m not even sure I’d like the feel of combats. I have smaller hands and I usually have varying degrees of luck with the “fit” of finger grooves.

My 66 3 inch also came with Goodyears. I haven't changed them out, but I bought this model 10 because I liked the RB targets it was wearing.

This pic help?

You are right they are Uncle Mikes. For comfort and carrying they can’t be beat. But correct … the look. Do you intend to carry it ?
I have smaller hands and like to dress up with different grips too. But I don’t like the feel of factory combats - the finger groves don’t match my hand. I would suggest looking for a pair of Eagle Secret Service boot grips. The ones shown below are K square and J round. Obviously a set of Spegel grips are going to set you back. The Culina combats look great but I’ve never held a set to see how they compare to Factory. For bling a pair of Elk magnas would look great but also pricy. Hogue makes some nice wood grips that feel great. And the VZ G10 grips are both nice looking on stainless (grey / black imo) and functional.
Nice thing about grips …. Easy to change no harm no foul.

There's nothing sexier than Spegels in my humble opinion.
They look great, they feel good in the hand but have plenty of "meat" to grasp the gun in recoil.....

You are absolutely correct sir, and I thank you for the pic. I think a set of his extended boot grips would be phenomenal. I’m guessing the wait time is in the multiple years range. The I want them now eBay price is crazy money.

Congrats on getting your 66! This 66-4 is wearing Spegels.
The serial Prefix is "CAA"..do you mind sharing the prefix for yours? I'm trying to see just how many were produced for this batch, but haven't seen any others with the same prefix.

My 66-4 3" has had Spegel's for 20 years.

Go for the best or go home!

Before I discovered Spegel ....I had a 66-3 and a 3" 65 with cut down factory round butt targets cut down to Boot grips!

Yep, mine is CAA

I don't have a 3 in, but I do have a 2.5 with yet another option for you to look at.

These are Ahrends. They are no longer made, but you can find them.

Here’s my M66 3” with round butt targets, and a 2 1/2” with good knock offs of S&W combats, in zircate wood.
