Hello all,
I recently received my uncle's former duty weapon, a very well cared for 6946 (an early one if I'm not mistaken... square trigger guard.) I've run roughly 200 rounds through (Monarch 124gr, just to get used to the feeling of shooting.) This is my carry weapon, which I keep CorBON PowR'ball loaded in. I've got the 2 factory 12 rd. mags, and 2 Mec-Gar 15 rd. 59xx mags for target shooting. This is my first gun, and I've been learning all I can about it. I've got a quick question though... how does one go about getting the Instruction Manual for this gun? I'd like a paper copy, and the same kind of case the gun came in, just for my own little neurotic reason. Also, if I provide the serial number, can someone provide some info about its early life? Thanks in advance!!

Phillip

Hi, and welcome to the forum. I recently lost my manual for my 3913 and I called Smith & Wessons customer service. I received my paper manual about three weeks later. You can also go on their website as well and request it, but I just called. Good luck and enjoy your pistol.

If you'll E-mail the serial number range, I'll see if it's in the book. What PD did your uncle serve with?

Yes!! Do you know Kenny too?

Yes sir, Kevin and I worked at Fort Apache together back in the "good 'ole days."

You should be very proud. They are both great people. I'm honored to have served with Kevin.

PS: I'm glad he's back safe and sound from the sandbox.

I am terribly proud of them (and Kevin's son James is now a Shelby County Deputy, as well). I've been blessed with extremely good role models...

BTW, I'll send you the serial number in a PM... it's on the way.

Now, if I can figure out how to open the PM. LOL
