New Bodyguard 2.0 Impressions & Pics

Picked up my new S&W Bodyguard 2.0 today. $399 + FFL transfer fee. Pics below of some size comparisons to some other "small" guns (S&W 442 5-shot 38spcl revolver and a Kahr CW9 9-shot 9mm). I don't own any other "micro" 380 or micro 9mm. First impressions: this thing is CRAZY small but it carries in your hand SO much better than you'd expect. S&W did the proportions right with this gun. the slide (0.88" wide listed on specs) seems even thinner than it's specs because of the top angle cuts. My Kahr's slide is 0.90" wide but seems WAY thicker side by side. The 2.0's slide serrations are excellent and needed (stiff recoil spring). Mag release button is big and sticks out plenty far so that you're not struggling trying to hit it, yet is stiff enough you have to push it deliberately to drop the mag (which does fall free nicely). The trigger: it is very crisp and tactile. It's not heavy but not danger-light either. Very nice audible reset. With the 10 round mag, it's a true 2 and 3/4 finger grip for my medium sized hands. With the 12 round mag inserted, it's full 3 finger grip with room to spare. Sights: I've heard a few reviewers say they wish the rear U notch wasn't so wide but I like it. This is a close in gun; not a distance target gun. That wide U notch with bright orange (with tritium night insert) front sight just draws your eyes to the sights and is easy to acquire. AWESOME sights for a micro gun. Nice touches like the metal mag release button, indexing pads, serrations on rear sight... great texture on grip. The weight is sooo light. But oddly still feels solid in your grip. I am looking forward to shooting it tomorrow (will follow up with range report). If it shoots well and functions fine, this is a WINNER for deep concealment, pocket carry (carries nicer than my 442 in cargo pockets) and low-risk situations where you don't want bulk of a larger gun. 11 or 13 rounds of 380ACP up close is nothing to be nonchalant about. Have already ordered a LH kydex holster for it.

I agree to all of that! Best pocket pistol ever, and extremely accurate. I only have about 300 rounds through mine, but VERY impressed so far! Sights are easy to acquire at 10-20 yards and the trigger is smooth as butter.
