Beautiful
Those are really cool guns. I picked one up police surplus years ago for about $175 I think from Cake-Davis in Sacramento. It came from the DMV investigations unit. (I also got two Model 64 3" at the same time. Those were the good old days.)

I have a dash 3 15 snubbie. I don't think I've even shot it yet...........

Yep a Harley and tons of Canon equipment and expensive lens here too. Maui is super hot this year so only shooting in the AC indoor range.

I think you did well. The two inchers are hard to come by. Of course, any Vintage S&W is getting hard to come by!
You gotta love Model 15 snubbies. Here's my 15-3 that shipped in March of 1970.

And they just feel great in your hand, even with factory stocks.
Love these 15 snubs! I foolishly got rid of mine some years ago after paying less than $300 for it. Rough on the outside but pristine inside and shot great. Felt the burning need for a different gun and down the road it went.

Model 15s make great snubbies! Here's our Model 15-2 (ca. 1962/1964) that belonged to my wife's grandfather. It was his EDC when he was a Chief of Detectives in Kommiefornia back in the 1960s and 1970.

Right!!! I can attest. Me and my sibling were born between 1948 & 1954. We saw maybe the best. Late 60s the Drugs and Love-ins were nothing compared to now. And laying-out on the Boulders at Coffee Camp along the Tule River, basking in the sun between swims (now closed to the public) didn't entail gang graffiti, diapers and trash in every crevice, or just general disrespect of the resources. It was a beatiful time to grow up there.
Btw, nice snubbies here. Enjoyed the pictures and the thread. I just acquired a 2 1/2 M19. Have not even seen it yet. I love my 15s but they are 4".
As 71vette mentioned, they shoot much better than expected.
My favorite S&W!
You may recall in the movie "The Laughing Policeman" Walter Matthau carried a 2" 15….

I'm sure that you're right about early California...it was probably beautiful. My wife was born in Downey in 1965 and grew up there. Her great grandfather was a Deputy Sheriff on horseback in LA way back in the day when there was still a majority of dirt roads. He was also part of the group that introduced Arabian horses to CA, and his family has owned and shown Arabians to this day. My wife's grandfather followed in his father's footsteps and was a police officer in Montebello and Downey for many years, and retired as the Chief of Detectives (Downey, ~10 years) in the mid-1970s.

Small world! 1971-1972 I worked at D&O Machine Shop in Downey before enlisting in the Corps. My mom said as a girl she could ride a horse through orange groves from Whittier to Downey.

I was just taking with my BIL yesterday. A couple decades ago I arranged a meeting with him and a buddy of mine. My BIL traded a Dillon 550 to the friend for his 3" 66. My buddy always regretted letting that one out of his grasp and would ask me if I thought my BIL would sell it. I broached the topic a few times and the answer was no, he loved carrying that gun. Eventually my buddy found another 66. Well yesterday I asked him if he was ready to sell it. Oh, I traded it on something that he couldn't remember. Damn. I was interested in it for me this time.
Same buddy wanted a 28 4" and traded a K frame 66 or a 19 to a shop for one. I was against, I had and still have a mint 28-2 that didn't fit my hands he had forgotten about. I'd have made the trade without beating him up!
