Great addition! Would love a 2.5" - still looking
I noticed a couple like that on GB (completed listings) AAE and earlier s/n prefix. The SCSW also has a one-sentence note about some shipping in two-piece boxes with metal corners and hand written label (not the folded kind). There was one like that, sold for $1050 including the box and cleaning kit in September, AAC s/n prefix. AAC would be 1981, AAE 1982....
The very earliest versions have a large right side TM so keep your feelers out for them as they are a small minority maybe only lasted a year tops .
Repost but I wanna share not only a good deal but a good shooter as well.
-1 found as you see it now, grips and all for $150... Needless to say, it's been a while.
Hard to miss those grips,I had a 586 back in the 80's that I traded even up for a PYTHON. A couple years ago picked up this -3 on the forum and added some Culina perfection...
It is surprising that more of those "carried a lot, shot little" surplus guns are not showing up on GB and other places. Just a few years ago LE surplus K-frames showed up in batches. Makes you wonder if they are sitting on pallets in warehouses somewhere.Yes, it was a heckuva steal deal, even back then. Early 90's and LE (both officers and depts.) were unloading their old-fashioned wheel guns for the latest tactical tupperware (namely glock). Ahh, the good old days...
