Beautiful firearm and stocks! Really like the Altamonts and have a set of combats on my 638. Easy on the eyes and good shooting too!

Been looking for a set of RB to SB K/L conversion wood with medallions for a 686-5 and 686-4 and considered the Alt's ,
I like em but they need to raise the checkering as the pattern seems off center going a bit too low and strangely not high enough IMO.

Really nobody else making a wood RB conversion K/l with medallions which is surprising, Sent Kurac an inquiry if he might be making some up in the future and he said maybe yes and so been waiting.

SOOO TRUE, AND IT'S A SHAME, ENGINE49GUY. THOSE ARE TRULY BEAUTIFUL GRIPS, REBEL SOUL, BUT A LITTLE TO BIG TO HIDE EASILY UNDER A TEE IN THE SUMMER, IMHO. I LIKE THIS SET UP FOR CONCEALED CARRY, ON MY 686+. I BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE CALLED S&W MAGNA PLAIN CLOTHES GRIPS--BUT I COULD BE WRONG. (SOMEONE PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM) I FAVOR AHRENDS SMOOTH TACTICAL CONVERSION GRIPS FOR MY 4" S&Ws (THOSE THREE ARE MOUNTAIN GUNS) AND PACHMAYR PRESENTATION GRIPS ON MY 8 3/8 INCH REVOLVERS THAT MAY SEE HUNTING DUTY…..
