Just picked up a new charging handle and pretty impressed with the quality. It's machined from 7075 T6 Billet
hard coat anodized per Mil-A-8625F, Type III, Class 2
GFH......in other words, it is made rock solid and the slide and action is so much nicer than the OEM handle. If anyone is looking to make the change, I highly recommend the BCM!

I agree. Great part that anyone can install themselves. Extra nice if you have a scope and the stock charging handle is hard to reach.

Depends on where you get it. I got mine for around $70 and my wife's last year for early black Friday sale. I think I got her's for around $60.

I have the raptor also. Got mine for 65 on sale somewhere.

I had the same one - it was required caused my scoped position blocked the std. charging handle quite a bit. Just have to be a little more careful cause the Mod 3 does have a tendency to catch on things. I agree it works beautifully and you can even charge one handed easily....

good chance you got a knockoff from china....make sure you inspect it. The Raptor is one of the most reproduced AR items you can buy, amazon is littered with them.

I google "Rocky Mountain Tactical" and get a couple websites. Who really knows who they are.

At least you ordered it off Amazon and not Flea-Bay. Amazon has a real customer service center. I ordered a Magpul MS3 sling via Amazon that got routed to one of their "partners" that has their orders fulfilled out of an Amazon distribution center. The online picture looked correct. What I got looked very convincing, except for the material on one of the buckles. Plastic where it should be metal. Also no production number on the part. Back to Amazon it went with a complaint of selling counterfeit goods.

If you get a counterfeit, you have the option to send it back and have Amazon deal with it. So no worries.

I love going online to buy parts and save a buck. Some parts I just can't find locally. I try to stick to well known online retailers: Midway USA, Brownells, etc. I try to buy products direct from their manufacturers. I want a Vortex flash hider, I go to the Smith Enterprises website. I want a Ranier Arms part, I go to their webiste.

I think you would be making a great decision......make sure you buy from a reputable dealer, stay away from amazon!

****. Just ordered this MOD 4 off Amazon. Any thoughts? Anybody heard of Rocky Mountain Tactical? That was the seller. Looks like they are legit.

Amazon is fine, as long as you exercise due caution and a little common sense. Yes, there have been some counterfeit items of Amazon recently, but the reality is that most items and sellers are genuine and authentic. As JaPes mentioned, Amazon's CS policy is top-notch.

Just always buy items from amazon or fulfilled by amazon. I am a prime member so always choose prime items + free 2 day shipping. With these you are 100% covered. Once you go outside of that, ie "Sold by XYZ", you still have a return policy, but not as rock solid as Amazon/Fullfilled by Amazon. The individual marketplace sellers still adhere to a policy dictated by Amazon, but have some leeway, ie smaller return window, restock fees, etc. - but all is explained up front, before purchase by checking the sellers return policy page.

Regardless - if a counterfeit item is bought from ANY seller on Amazon - get in contact with Amazon C/S - they will make it right.

I chose the Raptor and it makes one heck of a difference. The build quality is excellent and the functionality is superb. I started using my right hand to do chamber checks and it is smooth as silk.

Just got my Raptor in the mail to day. Another great addition to my AR. Beats the heck out of the old fashion charging handle. Now all I have to do is see what other Item I can add, and as always It never ends. :)
