I took delivery on a NIB Bodyguard .380 and took it to the range today. I was impressed with it's accuracy for a little belly gun. I shot both lead and jacketed and it took both fine. The mags were a little hard to insert but I am sure that will ease over time. Overall, I am very impressed. Thanks John.

I love mine! Like the fact that when I shot it, it didn't feel like it was trying to jerk my arm off. I am much more accurate with it than my husband's Shield.

Glad you are happy with your BG. I traded mine in on a rifle, due to the abysmal trigger. I bought a Ruger Custom LCP and am happy with it.

I like the trigger......no it accidentally went off. If anyone says they accidentally shot they are full of it!........lol

I love mine .If you have Crimson trace break down your gun and put some lock-tight on the screw that holds the battery in.600 rounds since Christmas and no lite strikes,FTF or FTE.

My son and I each bought one last Saturday. Contrary to some opinions, I specifically like the trigger for the exact same reason that Dodgegirl stated. Little chance for the gun firing by accident. The Bodyguard 380 is perfect for carry in my jeans pocket with a round in the chamber and no unnecessary external safety to mess with.

Got my no laser model Feb. 2015 and am very pleased. Over 700 trouble free rounds, easy to carry and very accurate. I put my J frame in the safe, after 40 + years of carrying it, and the .380 has become my EDC.

Virginia John,

S&W advised me to push in the mag release button as you insert the mag.

I agree with it's being accurate. Nice pistol.

Good luck,

I also recently bought a bodyguard 380. So far it's trouble free and very accurate. I like the trigger and I also press the release button when inserting the mag like I was told.

i just got back from my 3rd range session since I got mine at the begining of the month. so far I have 300 rounds of Fiocchi 95gr and about 12rds of Underwood Xtreme Defender 65gr standard pressure. with the exception of one malfuction today (after firing the next round basically flipped and pointed downwards in magazine...?) it's been great. i wasnt expecting it to be so snappy (the stippling is actially very aggresive which i appreciate) but between that chewing your hand up and trigger finger fatigue, i only shot about 100rds 1st trip. i felt more comfortable 2nd trip (got a Pachmayer grip) and this time around i painted the front sight white which helped a lot.

i got snap caps last week and have been dry firing like mad and call me crazy but i do think the trigger feels better than when new.

my range wont allow you to shoot within 33ft at the indoor, so today i was really starting to dial it in and get some good groupings. so far, i'm pretty happy, i nust have to find a better grip solution that will work with my CT lasergurd

p.s. pardon double post, not surr why it did that

I love mine and I carry it with me every day. I have well over 1000 rounds through it and I couldn't be happier with this pistol. The mags are hard to insert when the gun is new and it'll get easier with time. I added a set of talon rubber grips and painted the front sight orange. If you're looking for mags for this go to gunmagwarehouse.com, they have factory s&w mags for 8.99 each.

thanks for the tip! ordered 4 and received yesterday, fantastic deal [emoji11]

Are the bodyguards 380's picky on ammo? I have a kahr cw380 and a Walther ppk380 and both are very picky. I bought some Winchester bulk ammo and neither gun will shot it.

Re: the question about the BG .380 being ammo picky mine has cycled everything I put in it, but all of it has been factory FMJ or self defense HP, no hand loads.

thanks all , on the response to the ammo. I think I should have done some more research before I brought my kahr

Kahr guns are good they just have a 200 round break in period. I don't agree any gun should have to shoot 200 rounds but it's always a good thing to do since you will be carrying it to save your life
