For the guys here that have a new CORE, how do you like the trigger and do you plan on doing any mods to it. If so what are you planning?

I replaced mine within 500 rounds. Might not have keep the gun, now I really enjoy shooting it. This is my first striker fired gun so I was really not expecting so much travel, grit, over travel and weight required to fire the gun. Even after the trigger job, it still took a ton of dry firing to get used to the Apex trigger. Now its fine and much more enjoyable to shoot.

I have been using a new CORE 9L since June. I shot about 3000 rounds through it before putting the Apex FSS and polymer trigger in. I only use it for competition. The round count is now ~23,000. I have stock triggers in my other 2 M&P's and I like those too. It's just a matter of what each is used for. I like the long trigger travel for EDC and HD. The CORE lives in the safe when it's not in my range bag. Smoothness of trigger is a non issue on my factory triggers since both pistols have well over 3000 rounds each.

I have bought two new C.O.R.E.s in the last couple of months, and I put Apex Forward Set (polymer) trigger and sear kits on both. That may be just me, I like to mod and fiddle with most if not all of my guns. The stock triggers were not bad - certainly usable as-is.

I have a new core 9mm 5in. only had it 3 weeks and shot it one time about 150 rds.need to put some more rds thru it before I do anything to the trigger. My Glock 26 trigger seams lighter.

I guess since I have a 1911 the M&P trigger felt really bad to me. I wanted something much more like my 1911. So, I immediately put a Apex kit in mine. Well, I did shoot it for about 300 rounds first but realized fairly quickly, I didn't care fo the stock trigger. My .40L Core was made in July 2013.

I have over 4k rounds on my 5" 9mm and the trigger smoothed right out after 1K and I like it . I'm not going to change it as it feels great to me.

Im doing the apex USB, RAM, and the AEK trigger itself to my core. I like the trigger minus the grit from the factory striker block, they way the trigger safety hinges(which feels fine just looks cheap IMHO), and the lack or reset feel. Those are the only things I don't like about the M&P line of pistols in general. They did everything else right!

I still have my stock trigger in my 40L CORE. I am thinking of a trigger swap down the line, so far I only have around 200 rounds through the gun, but now that winter is here I will be spending more time at the indoor range.
