Once again....Colt has hit it out of the ballpark.

Shot it out back..the double action is smooth and SA is crisp.

Great sights, perfect grips. I even like the porting.

Best part is the wider trigger. And..it fits in my N frame holsters.

If they make this in a 2.5" barrel, Ill buy one of those as well.

Low serial number possibly? No matter, just something I noticed.

Good to have choices. I sure wish S&W cared enough to at least try and keep classic revolver people happy. :)

How does the Kodiak differ from the Anaconda, other than the non-fluted cylinder?

CZ has been killing it for a while.

A long while. CZ has been killing it since they started making guns. I think all of their guns (shotgun, rifle, pistol, revolver) are one of the best values for the money on the market today. Everything they make is high quality at a moderate price. I was happy to see them buy Colt. They are doing it the justice I had hoped for.

I like that more than I care to admit. The thick frame has a bit of a Trooper vibe to it. I was leaning towards a 5 inch 29 or 629 full lug (If I could find one) for my "bonus" revolver this year, but this one might jump in it's place....

Basically the same as the Anaconda only it has a non fluted cylinder and factory porting.

it does have a bear paw on the barrel, just like the 70s version. (and the 70s version did not have bear paws on the cylinder)

CZ has done great things at Colt. I love both and own both, the biggest difference is every year my Colts have gone down in price, while S & W's have gone up.

Compare apples to apples and you will see older classic Colts are increasing as much (maybe more) than S&Ws.

Buy any new revolver (or most any gun) and you will have to discount it to sell, unless it is something really special and no longer available, like a one year run of something that's in demand.

I'm buying the new Colts because they are a great product for my tastes and needs. I've even bought a few Kimbers and Rugers.

I can't remember the last new S&W purchased.Probably a J frame or two.

When I open my wallet..a Colt falls out! :)

Agree 100%. CZ makes fine products.

Wait, 70s version? IIRC wasn't the Anaconda a late 80s/90s gun? These guns didn't exist in the 70s (or so I thought.)
