Just joined the forum as I have two old S&W among some other vintage firearms inherited from my father who was police 1930 to mid 50's. The S&W are 38SW New Departure(Lemon Squeezer) manf in 1887 (Dad carried off duty) and 38spl Mil and Police 2nd Mod 1st Change manf early 1900's that also has family history. getting the New Departure repaired as has broken trigger spring.....the M&P functions well but looks rough with nickel plating worn to base metal in several places...

Spouse and I shoot at DNR Roush Lake range which is excellent very modern range and only $4.00 per day......I am afraid they will raise the rates sometime

Retired now but have been a Naval Officer in subs in the 60's and now retired as a Professional Engineer....
