I'm retired and living in the NW corner of New Mexico. I own 3 S&W's: a K38 Combat Masterpiece; a Model 29 that I am trying to rebuild from junk; and a little Model 469 9MM I bought for my wife.
I also have an M1A, a Kimber Custom TLE, a Ruger MKII and a Ruger Single Six in .22/.22mag. I have some other rifles for hunting.
I qualified Expert in the Marine Corps on the M14, the .45 auto, and the S&W .38 special - that's why I have examples of those three today - so I can keep shooting.
I'm having fun tearing these weapons down, cleaning them, and reassembling them. When I hit a spot where a special tool is required, I usually go to Brownell's and buy it before going any further.
All are in excellent condition except the .44mag which won't stay cocked in single action, but it was a junker to begin with, so it's been fun trying to figure out how to fix it.
Happy to have found this site where I can ask lots of questions and maybe learn a thing or two about repairing the guns I have. everyone seems super nice so far.
