When I bought this Manurhin model MR88 it came with a Baughman style front sight. I had problems seeing the front sight so I bought a Patridge front sight and with the assistance of a friend who has a machine shop in his garage we got the new sight installed.

Good job on the sight. But, tell us about the revolver?
I've been right tempted to take a chance on one, being
fond of both stainless, and Ruger guns. However, I know
this is somehow different from Ruger inside.

IF you can tell, do you think the chambers are long enough to be reamed out to .357?

VICTORLOUIS: The gun reminds me of a Ruger Security Six. The big difference between the Ruger and the Manurhin is the fire control. Each gun uses a coil main spring. The Ruger fire control is removed from the frame through the bottom of the frame, the Manurhin has a side plate to access and remove fire control group.
The grip and the trigger feel like a Ruger.
Ruger has a long history of suppling the French with firearms so Ruger must have been involved with manufacturing the model 88.
There is a step in the cylinder that restricts use to 38 special.
2 photos shows how far a 357 158 grain roundnose will fit.

Essentially a Speed Six with a side plate instead of a solid frame. Ruger and Manurhin partnered for a while. I believe Ruger supplied frames and some other parts for a pistol that was final assembled my Manurhin. Police Special I think they called it. Manurhin eventually went their own way and came up with MR88.

I have one, really like it especially the Trausch grips. They turn up on GB fairly regularly.
