Got the new gas block and muzzle brake installed on the M&P 15yesterday and shot it today. First the good; recoil is about like a .22. I can hold on target and see bullet impact on 20x @ 300yds. Awesome! Now the bad; I am having problems with short stroking (ejecting spent case but not picking up the next round). When I had the gas tube off I flushed it with carb cleaner then blew it out with compressed air. The weapon was working flawlessly prior to yesterday's changes so I gotta think something is not right with the gas block. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Here is a pic of new installed gas block.

First thing I think of is a misaligned gas block - is the rail on your gas block aligned perfectly with your forend and receiver rails?

also you may not have the gas block all the way rearward, I had the same problem with the same gasblock type. Once I got it seated and aligned it works like a charm. It is very easy to get it misaligned when tightening it down. Good luck.

good grief.... Thanks gatorade! I been racking my brain for the past 3 hours and... thanks. It is not perfectly aligned. If it slacks off raining enough I'll get out to the shop and get it right then shoot it & see if that's it. Thanks again.
Will keep that in mind too oneye...thanks.

Had the same issue when I did mine. Re-align the gas block and spray rem-oil, or similar down the gas tube to see it flow through the block and into the barrel.
