New Grandaughter Abbie Update 10/26/2010

[SASABERANGER]

Late last week Abbie was not feeling well and Valerie (mom) took her to CHOP (Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia) as there is always the concern about a problem with the heart and kidney transplants.
After a weekend stay and a complete going over the folks there told Val that Abbie is the strongest little one they had seen and she is doing extremely well and there were no complications due to the transplant surgery.
Current problem is that she is developing asthma, which already affects brother Andrew and runs in the family.
So, back to school this week and new meds to combat the asthma.
Will update when I get any new info.

I am very glad to hear that it is not the transplants though I am sorry to see anyone plagued with asthma. I prayed for her again and expect that she will grow up to be a fine young woman.

You might have her parents check into the effects of regular use of fish oil on asthma.
I think there are some studies on the subject.
