My younger son and his soon to be wife adopted this little guy a couple of weeks ago. Shelter born, chihuahua/dachshund mix. I usually prefer bigger dogs but he is very sweet and damn funny. He will get to meet my pooch this weekend. Burgie is his name.

They are seeing a trainer for both them and the pup lol. Due to not being fully vaccinated until yesterday the socialization process will begin this weekend to both dogs and people. You can see by the photo his tail was going a mile a minute. He's a very sweet puppy, typical funny pup with his toys. My son works from home so they have had a great time bonding.

The shirt he's wearing says "Loverboy" on the back lol. Now that it's getting warmer he can go without. Great coloring and he has two marks on his back referred to as "angel wings", more photos will be forthcoming.

Well the pup and his "grandma dog" met this evening and it was a success! Unfortunately Burgie was moving too fast for a pic LOL. Ziva was mostly very gentle with him-she loves puppies though not most small dogs. Burgie appeared to love doing zoomies in the backyard-beats being in an apartment LOL.

They'll be spending a lot more time together and I promise some pics from the next visit.

Chiweenies are very special family members, loyal, smart, active. And cute, did I mention cute?
