Just thought I'd share. If anyone is interested you can get them directly from the S&W website in their firearms accessories section.

Very nice. I hear they are little slimmer than the old targets, and that might be a great fit for me. If only they'd get those diamonds a little smaller ,and rotated just a bit!

They are great looking grips and there is a dealer on Ebay who has the N frame verson up there for $45 which is about $20 less then S&W and yes they are slimmer then the old S&W targets.

They both look very nice. I have been contemplating purchasing the very same grips that you have on your model 19, for my 19-3 snubby. Now I know exactly what it would look like. Mine currently sports Pachmayr Compact grips. They are just so comfortable that I can't bring myself to swap them out. Please let me know how comfortable those boot grips are, if/when you shoot it.

I'm curious, but when did Smith stop putting the medallions on their grips?

Very pretty grips, btw.

I'd guess shortly after they stopped making their own grips in-house at the factory and contracted that out to Altamont.

Altamont also sells to distributors for resale as after market add-ons without the medallions... those are the ones commonly sold on Ebay and Gunbroker.

The thinner profile is an improvement, but I sure wish they would get rid if the imbossed checkering, which I can't help think "cheesy", and hold true to the older style target factory grips (cut checkering and border, smaller diamond, checkering panel size). I do like their finger groove combat grips... those are an improvement on the factory ones.

I have a set of the ones like the ones on your 19 snub on my 66-1 snub and like them very much. I got them used but in LN condition from another forum member for a good price. If you have big hands you might not like them. They are very compact and slim.
