I have had my Shield for about a week now, but I knew right away that I need more traction on the grip. Just installed the rubberized version of the Talon grips. Big improvement. The Shield feels much more stable in the hand.

It was an easy install, and the fit is excellent.

How long have you had these on your shield? Do you carry? I would like to know the durability on these grips. Does it feel like they could come off easily being used a lot?

Actually, they have only been on the pistol a couple of hours. But, I think they are going to be pretty durable. Once applied and lined up, you use a heat gun or hair dryer to help set the glue and just press them in place. So far, I am not seeing any tendency at all to lift off or come up at the edges. I will definitely be carrying it when my holster gets here. I have another 3 week wait for that.

I've had the same Talon grips on my shield for several weeks and they greatly enhance the grip of the pistol. The Rubber version are the ones you want if you plan to conceal carry, the other version Talon has available for the shield are way too textured, they snag every type of clothing I tested them against, not what you want on a concealed pistol.

Regarding durability Hickok45 on Youtube has been using them for a long time on almost all his guns and loves them. He shoots a lot so they must be durable..

What holster did you go with I'm still trying to decide.

I have two holsters on order from different places. One is from www.firearmholster.com and the other is from Alien Gear Holsters

I already have one of each for my XDm, and they are both good quality, comfortable, and not so expensive. I understand there is a 3-4 week wait for either. The Firearm Holster can double as an OWB or IWB. The Alien Gear has adjustable retention, and the Kydex shell can be ordered separately for a different firearm.

I liked them...however, where to two ends meets on the back strap eventually started to fail and come loose...the good thing is, if want to remove them they will come off and the residue can be cleaned up with some 91% alcohol. I cleaned the grip area very well before installation...maybe I just got a bad one....IDK...BTW they only lasted about 9 months for me....

The same thing happen to mine. The ends at the back strap started to peel back. I used a drop of superglue on each tab end and pressed them back in place. I immediately cleaned any glue residue and the the ends have never been a problem again.

Yep. Only had them on for 48 hours now, but they rieally feel good. Many dry fires, but no sign of them trying to peel off. I am thinking about replacing the Hogue Hand All grips on my Glock with a set of Talon Grips. The Talons add almost no thickness to the grip at all. I would say about .005 on each side.
