New Grips for the CS9

Another happy TercGen customer here. He made grips for my CS9D a few years ago. Makes a world of difference.

I have the excellent TercGen grips on all my CS carry guns. Fine product from a fine young man. Buy with confidence.

I Emailed TercGen over a month ago and have not heard back. Thats unusual.

Has anyone heard from him recently? Heres hoping he is doing well and just busy. Regards 18DAI

I had TercGen convert a 3906 (curved) grip for my CS9 & he did a good job on it.

My only negative on them is they have a definite squared corner & if you AIWB carry with only shirt that square corner seems to be harder to hide than the more rounded corner of the factory Hogue grips & they're more apt to poke you if you bend over forward.

I added Trijicon SA29 Night Sights & Kahr magazine base plate assemblies to mine.

Who can help me with remove/replace instructions for Tercgen grips please? I just acquired a CS9 and dug out a set I was saving for just such a situation, but don't have the instructions at hand and I forget how to remove/install. TIA to anyone who can help. V/R, Nick.

This is what TercGen sent me when he mailed mine. Mine were made from 3906 grips but I'm sure his instructions are no different for ones made from 3913 grips.

Nothing personal in it so I don't see any reason it can't be shared:

"Included are the grips, modified mainspring adapter, and a black grip pin (inside of the grips). The modified mainspring adapter replaces the one underneath your Hogue factory grips, then the Delrin grips slide over that. As I mentioned earlier, the top portion of these grips are extremely tight, so take your time and at points you may need to slightly lift the left side of the grips to clear the tight spots and the sideplate assembly. Also, be sure that the front tabs engage the frame.

When installing the grip pin, I recommend putting a little oil/grease on it, as it has a lot of real estate to get through. Place the pin through the grip hole and into the grip frame (visually check from the bottom), then gently tap it most of the way in with a small plastic hammer. The last 1/8" or so will be a little harder, and I recommend using a 1/8" brass punch with firm taps to get it through. When the grip pin is equally indented on both sides, you are finished!"

Looks like the same instructions I got for my 457 curved back grips he made for me:)

Here are pictures of the S&W "comic book" instructions because for some of us it's easier to see than just read.

Just be careful not to bend the side plate assembly when putting the grip on.

Has anyone heard from him recently? Heres hoping he is doing well and just busy.

I got my last grip from him just under three months ago. It took several weeks to get a response from my request. He apologetically said he was very busy. Things happened quickly after that and I received the most perfectly excellent CS40/45 grip sooner than I expected.

I'm pretty sure he is just as busy as most of us are right now and is concentrating and prioritizing the most pressing/time related issues first.

Thank you much, BD, very kind of you to share this.

Here's an issue... the mainspring plunger "cup" inside the factory retainer is stuck - I'm afraid I'll crush it if I grab with a needle nose vice grip... I'll have to check around the usual joints for replacements and use it in the Tergen mainspring lower retainer.

Be well!

If you strike out finding one, I have a spare from a 6900 series you're welcome to if it's the same PN.

Thanks so much. I'm doing some homework and it looks like Midway and Numrich Arms may have the right part for me. Many thanks for your kind looking out for me. I'll be in touch if my leads fizzle out. Best, Nick.

I'm going to add a post here so that it's easier to find in the future for me.
I'm also hoping to get some grips from TercGen.
Hopefully he's well and just been busy...
