Yes, Northern Ireland. So I can still (legally) have pistols and compete. This is my second S&W, gives me commonality with my existing speedloaders and ammo.
I must admit that I was not familiar with World Association pistol matches until you Posted about your nice 686-5 and I did some online searches. They sound like some pretty cool matches. Good luck, and enjoy!
Thank you! I've only been shooting them for about a year, but today I finally made Master. It's basically PPC. I've been shooting a 686-6 6" in revolver class that I've modified with 3 position sights and some tuning to the action I've done myself. My Pistol class gun is an STP TM1500, which is a German made 1911 in 9mm with the 3 position sights and a 6 inch barrel. My Pistol Optics gun is totally unsuited but I've been putting in reasonable scores with it, it's a 5" Walther PDP with a Holosun SCS-PDP fitted. I hand load for all of them, .38 Special for the revolvers with 158gr flat points, and the 2 9mms I load 127gr truncated cone and 147gr flat points.
