It's 6/29, post your 629's!

A couple days late….
Got a fresh one today, of course the scope didn't come in.
Hopefully next week

Join the club! You'll like that one Chris. I had to stone the trigger on mine but it's shhlick now. Congrats!

Yeah
Looking forward to it
Perfect for developing loads now that I can't find a commercial outfit for RCBS 250k's I've shooting for so long.
I've got 1500 of the "Keith" 260's from to rimrock….
I'm a little worried about long range stability but we'll see, they are fine up close

Here's a picture I've never posted - my 629 Classic 5" with the round-to-square conversion grips from Altamonte I originally put on. 50 rounds later, I took them right off and they've been sitting in my box of grips ever since. They are even better looking in person and I love the "Spanish Diamond" checkering and the nostalgic look overall, but they did not feel good to me.

I have several 629s, most of which are like ones you've already seen but here's one you don't often find - a five-inch 629-3 Classic DX, only made for one year 30+ years ago.

It came to me with the S&W Hogue Monogrip but I replaced it with this set of Taiwan round-to-square butt Combats. This thing will beat the daylights out of the black bull of a 25-yard NRA pistol target from a rest. This is a 50-round group.

I paid $800 for it probably 14 years ago and I have politely declined some obscene offers for it.
