New guy ammo Choice for full-size 9 & shield

I have a full size 40 with approx. 4000 rounds downrange and a 9mm Shield with 300 rounds out of it. For duty and SD I use Speer Gold Dot. 180gr in 40cal and 124+p in 9mm. For practice I use whatever I can find for a reasonable price. I've never had a malfunction on either gun. They both have run flawlessly on anything I've fed them.
