Hey, I've been lurking here for awhile, finally signed up this morning.

I have a few revolvers and have been gaining interest in S&Ws lately. I am not new to firearms, but I've never really paid much attention to Smiths.

I have an old 36, a couple of 442-2s(no locks) and a 19-7 that I haven't picked up yet. I also have a Ruger SP101, along with a bunch of Glocks and a few Colt 1911s.

I have been on Glocktalk and 1911forum for a couple of years with the same username, so I may already know a few folks around here.

It looks like this S&W thing is gonna get expensive!:D

Welcome! You will find a lot of knowledgeable folks here who are willing to share their knowledge. And with the diversity of interests on this board, you can ask just about any question on any subject and get cogent answers. Do read the rules; although most of us are vitally interested in politics and are passionate about our views, the owner of the forum has placed blatantly political posts off limits. You will find that this is one of the best-run forums on the internet. It's very intuitively laid out. You'll find the people here will easily become some of the best friends you've never met, generous with their time and often with heartfelt support for those in need of it. I consider those on this forum part of my extended family, and I value them all. I'm sure you will too.

Again, welcome - you'll like it here.

John

Yep, sure enough! You may die poor but you'll have a smile on your face (LOL).

Welcome to the forum, if you like to buy Smith's, as mentioned be prepared to part with your money :)

Greetings from Northwest Alabama! Glad to have you with us. You're in the right place to talk "Smith!"

I consider myself fairly new too. lots of good information in here. you will learn much. not trying to sell you anything but if your addiction takes off you may want to consider ordering a copy of "the standard catalog of smith and wesson" 3rd edition. that will hook you for life. welcome from a fellow texan.

Welcome, my story is very similar to yours. But it did not take long for me to be free of all Glocks and bottom feeders although I am still a huge Glock fan. It is great fun to collect and talk Smiths and this board is the epitome of what makes it fun. This is the friendliest and most enjoyable of all the gun sites I have ever been a part of. Folks will gladly answer questions and give very sage advice too. Have fun!

Welcome! A great place to be. There are no "stupid" questions here, just fellow 'Smith lovers wanting to help you make the most of your 'Smith's and your shooting fun!

gladly. wine lovers might hold their noses the highest but scotch drinkers are the classiest. try my namesake or an ardbeg next time you whip up your marinara sauce. islay's go well with just about any italian meal.

I usually save the Islays for a nightcap, but I'm always up for something different. I have a bottle of Laphroig(sp) at home, I'll have to test it out when I get back.:D

Welcome. There's nothing like fine old S&W's to fondle. The earlier the finer. Yes, you will need to increase the limit on your credit cards, and make early withdrawals on your CD's, but you will appreciate handling and shooting some fine handguns.

Welcome, Expensive is an understatement, everytime someone post a picture, I just have to add it to my wish list.
