New guy from Missouri

South of KC, huh? Remember the I-70 World Series?

LotO - some great places to hang out there! We used to cruise Bagnell Dam back when I was in high school.

Big baseball fans in this house. Not so much other sports, but MLB is spoken here fluently. Yes, sir... 1985 was a fine year. In fact, the entire decade of the 1980's was a pretty decent time in my eyes. As for Bagnell, it remains a decent spot to see and be seen, especially during the busy seasons, although the entire lake area is growing beyond belief. I myself, am most happy away from the paved roads out wandering along the waters edge in the timber. All the strip malls, bars, souvenir shops, liquor stores, and their associated traffic kinda cramp my style most of the time.

Welcome aboard from Nrw Hampshire!
Sounds like you need S&W revolvers.
Jim

Thanks to this place, I just bought my first S&W revolver. It's an old school .38 Safety Hammerless in nickel that is coming from Pennsylvania. I figured that since I mostly shoot autos, I might as well get something with some age/history behind it. It's old, it's not worth a lot, but it will get the job done. It's got a familiar face and it is all but a relic at this point. It reminds me of... me.

If funds permit, and I live long enough, I hope to one day add something a bit more modern in .357 Magnum to the mix. Meanwhile, I really like my small collection of modern autos. My M&P M2.0 Compact 9mm is sitting beside me as I type this.

Another welcome from Missouri. I'm just outside Camdenton in the Lake O area, not on the water. I'm into "horse" power, not boats.

Dan

I really wish I would have gotten into horses myself. I never found a way to afford them as a cop though, and retirement isn't paying as well as I thought it would either. I have gotten to enjoy horses belonging to relatives over the years, but the closest I have to my own "horse" is an older Mustang GT.

So, if you are talking about THAT kind of horsepower... I still can't relate. Like I said, my Mustang is an older one, from a time when the power wasn't nearly as abundant as it is with the new ones. It does still look and drive like new and it's paid for, so there is that.
