hello to everyone... just returned purchased my first "large" revolver, a used 686-4 6" with a ported barrel. paid $390. the gun seems to be in great shape but i have a few questions. first, the barrel seems to be over rotated. not by alot and you would only notice under close inspection, but ive noticed and it bugging me like crazy. second, there is a space between the lug and the barrel. again, not a big space but definately a space. so are both those things ok, or are they problems. and is there anything i can do about them? thanks and i look forward to enjoying my time on here.

Contact S&W about the barrel. If it was set wrong by S&W they should be willing to fix it for free. And if your experience is the same as mine, they will even pay for the shipping.

You need to shoot it first, it may be turn to correct the sights. If it shoot to the right then it is a screw up. There is only a small area around the barrel that makes contact to the frame, most will have a small gap at the bottom where the extractor rod goes between the frame and barrel. So don't get the panties in a knot till you shoot it. Then you can call S&W about a fix :D .

your right, i alway have buyer remorse after a new purchase, worried i paid too much or got a bum deal... i'll let you know how the shooting goes.

You got a great deal on it, you can sell it and make $100 today. They are going from 500 to 550 for one.
