Just registered so I will introduce myself. I'm old, almost 74 but still kicking. Retired from the US Army, 20 years service. I am a certified gun nut and enjoy competition. I shoot in a bullseye league, metallic silhouette and used to shoot rimfire benchrest competition.

You'll fit in well here. What did you do in the Army, I suspect from your age and username you might have spent some time in SEA? Sure do appreciate your service to our country, no matter what you did.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I'm originally from the southwest corner of Iowa, left at 18 and went into the Army in 1966 and stayed for almost 21 years. Never went back, too cold. Lived in Clarksville, TN for 34 years before the wife decided we needed to move to Florida to a large retirement community just south of Ocala, FL.
Did a number of different jobs in the Army, Nike Hercules missile crewman, bulldozer operator, Military Policeman, counter mortar counter battery radar section chief and platoon sergeant, and finally as a Intelligence NCO in a field artillery unit. Retired as a Master Sergeant E-8. Haven't missed the Army for a second, only the camaraderie with fellow soldiers.

Never made it to SEA, did two tours in South Korea and three tours in Germany. Originally from SE Iowa, 34 years in Tennessee.
