Thank you all for the warm welcome. I'm originally from the southwest corner of Iowa, left at 18 and went into the Army in 1966 and stayed for almost 21 years. Never went back, too cold. Lived in Clarksville, TN for 34 years before the wife decided we needed to move to Florida to a large retirement community just south of Ocala, FL.
Did a number of different jobs in the Army, Nike Hercules missile crewman, bulldozer operator, Military Policeman, counter mortar counter battery radar section chief and platoon sergeant, and finally as a Intelligence NCO in a field artillery unit. Retired as a Master Sergeant E-8. Haven't missed the Army for a second, only the camaraderie with fellow soldiers.

Never made it to SEA, did two tours in South Korea and three tours in Germany. Originally from SE Iowa, 34 years in Tennessee.
