Hello all... just bought my first S&W and figured I'd say hello. I just recently earned a set of these...

Hi, and welcome! I'd say a nice 686 is the proper reward for earning those wings of gold! What are you flying at present, and where are you stationed?

Congrats on the wings and the 686.It is a beautiful shooting gun and you will be pleased.May God be with you in your chosen profession.....Mike

Great, not too many years until the transition to the P-8A, right? I'm sure there will be messages from lots of other Navy vets. Enjoy that 686.

Welcome from an Air Force vet, we're not prejudiced, you can come and have fun also. You just have to promise the 686 won't be your last. S&W. Once you shoot it, we're sure it won't your last.

Have a good Holiday season, then off to your new base, be sure to check on the base gun club, you can often get good deals there.

The smell of Jet Fuel, the smell of Freedom.

Welcome and well done on both counts.

You mean the old P3 sub hunters? Man, I didn't know those were still in use, cool. One of my earliest memories is watching the P3's fly out of the NAS near my house on a regular schedule to go out on patrol over the Pacific. You could set your watch by their schedule!

Welcome aboard, congratulations on the wings and enjoy your time here! .... and nice 686.

Jerry

Congrats and Congrats

If ya gotta be in the Navy you at least have a nice sidearm. To bad they won't let us carry our own anymore:(

Welcome and thank you for your service. Be careful, rewarding oneself with a S&W is the first sign of the disease. When you get "older" just being able to get out of bed is excuse enough. :D

Just think-20 years from now, you'll be a retired veteran, wear pants with belts and suspenders eat dinner at the crackerbarrell at 4:30 and grouse about all the young'uns with all us other "old farts". :D
Now that I've ruined your morning-welcome aboard, congrats on your wings, and for cryin' out loud BE SAFE out there!!!!!!!!
Oh and BTW nice Smith-a good start to what may very well become many.

Welcome from a fellow newbie and congrats. Also thank you for your service from an proud air force dad.
