Went out yesterday to zero the scope mounted to my (supposedly) brand-new .30-06 i-Bolt. Didn't fire a single round. Very light strikes on the primer, apparently not enough to set off the charge.

A guy working at the range checked it out, couldn't figure out what was causing it. The firing pin clearly activates when the trigger is squeezed after cycling the action.

The small dot is engraved under the bolt handle, so as far as I know that means the recall has been completed on the bolt.

Any thoughts before I send this rifle back in and have to pay the FFL again to get it back?

Thanks Chet. I called today and that's exactly what they're doing, virtually no questions asked, which is cool. I was hoping to save them the money and the time, and to figure something out... I was really looking forward to shooting this rifle.

Thanks again!

I had problems with light strikes on my wifes Baby Desert Eagle 9 mm. I called Magnum Research to get repair info. The rep. told me to try shooting some Powder Blast in the firing pin hole to clean out the packing cosmoline. It has worked flawlessly since.
I'm not sure how this will work on a bolt action rifle though.
Hope you get the problem corrected since I'm going to buy a I Bolt soon for hog hunting.
