I started collecting in 2010. I chose to collect what i consider a beautiful gun, model 629 SW. I now have a 3, 4, and 7.5 inch in my collection. Did I make a the right choice model?

Welcome to the forum, Pepep5!

You can't go wrong with a S&W 629...solid.

Welcome from Massachusetts.... Any S&W in a good choice. Much like cars, guns come in many styles. Yours is one of the ones that is pleasing to look at.

Welcome from Washington County. If you think that your collecting will stop with one model you are delusional. There is always another gun! Have fun.

Welcome aboard/ Model 29 is an excellent starting point. Now, work your way down through 28, 27, etc. You may have a little trouble finding ALL of them, but that's half the fun. When you reach Model #1, you win!!

Welcome from Louisville. The Smith revolvers are beautiful to behold and great to shoot. I can't shoot Magnum hand cannons anymore, but the 629 is a fine gun.

Eventually you will certainly want at least one K-frame. The L's are awfully nice. J's are addictive little carry guns. You see where this is leading? And believe me, you have fallen among enablers!

There's a lot of fun to be had here. too.

Welcome to the forum! I believe the most important thing to consider when trying to decide on focus for your collection is to pick a model that you find interesting and exciting. Not just a gun that seems to be popular at the moment. Learn all you can about your pick! You really can't go wrong!! Good luck with your collection.

Welcome from the Capital Region of the Empire State.

Nice first post. The only thing you're missing is pictures.
