I'm in good company. I was born the same year as the Corvette, Cheez Whiz, Eggo, Matchbox, Peeps, Tater Tots and WD-40.

Ya gotta admit: Eggos and Aerosol Cheese have got to be the best inventions since sliced bread. I've never read the ingredients in Whiz, and I probably don't want to. I may have the wrong product in mind because I think cheese whiz was in a jar when I was a kid. But if you were ever single living alone after leaving the nest these were staples in many a guy's diet. I had a can of Spaghettios yesterday, and I still don't know what the meat substance balls are made from, but if Angel eats them then they're good enough for me.
(That Corvette would've been a much nicer Christening present than a lousy savings bond!)

I remember when a cherry used S&W model 10 could be had
for $40.
I'm so old that my childhood and adolescence were
in black and white.
I remember NIB Colt 1911s sold for $95.
I remember when Win primers could be had for
$13.00. Per thousand. Yes, I really stocked up.

But that $40 may have been a week's pay.
A week's pay ( for most people ) will still buy you a new S & W revolver with some money left over.

Old, Obsolete and Quirkish, my box of Quadraphonic 8 tracks!

I had The Who album, "Quadraphinia" on factory 7" reel to reel in stereo, I couldn't afford a Quad Reel setup from Sony or AKHI in 1975!

Ivan

The only reaason I went out and bought a Sony 7" tape, double speaker unit, was beacuse,

I bought a 7" tape reel by Dwain Eddy's, "Twisting & Twanging" and did not have a way to hear it.
