New item at the top of the list of tings that make you

I'm so old i remember velveeta in wooden boxes .
You have me beat, I think, but I will bet not by much!

Velveeta was introduced in 1918 and sold in wooden boxes. Kraft stopped using "real" cheese to make Velveeta in 1953. It was probably still in the boxes during WWII but I don't know because we didn't use it in our household! Couldn't find an answer on the 'net.

Do you remember when there were horse drawn beer wagons delivering to taverns, or fruit and vegetable wagons vending door-to-door in residential neighborhoods? I do.

Proud to be one of the last of the "Silent Generation", born after/to The "Greatest Generation" before the "Baby Boomers". I think that in general we were very, very fortunate!

Some I have noticed that make me pause: XYZ from the "last century" (1900s) being referenced and "oldies music from the 1990s".

Policemen and doctors.

I mentioned to my wife that policemen and doctors just keep getting younger and younger.

Her reply: " I don't think that's what's happening!"
